There are currently rumors about a possible Apple Watch Ultra successor, which will probably be released this year.
The big update for Apple's largest Apple Watch was actually initially expected for the coming year 2024, but many industry experts are now certain: the Apple Watch Ultra 2 will come onto the market this year.

New colors
It is pretty certain that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 will appear in new case colors. As with the current Ultra, Apple will continue to use titanium as the housing material, but will offer it in different color variations.
We've already seen some renders and leaks that showed a black titanium case, but we don't think a gold-colored titanium case is out of the question either.
Parts from the 3D printer
In order to reduce production costs and increase production speed, Apple is using the Ultra 2 to produce individual parts using the 3D printing process for the first time. In particular, the Digital Crown and the side buttons should probably be manufactured using this process.
Titanium from the 3D printer is characterized above all by its even higher tensile strength and stability.
Retractable Digital Crown & Side Buttons
Another idea that we have already noted several times is that Apple may want to integrate a retractable crown into the Ultra 2. This would be based heavily on the screw-down crowns of conventional diving watches, which on the one hand makes accidental operation in extreme situations impossible, but could also bring significant advantages in the area of water resistance.

New chip
It is also certain that the successor to the Apple Watch Ultra will have a completely redesigned chip. Exactly which one this will be, or whether a specially developed chip will be used, can only be speculated at the moment.
